What is Medicare, and how does it work?
Medicare is federal health insurance for anyone age 65 and older, and some people under 65 with certain disabilities or conditions. Medicaid is a joint federal and state program that provides health coverage for some people with limited income and resources.

How much do you pay for Medicare in California?
Original Medicare: Part A premiums can range from $0 to $506 per month. The Medicare Part A hospital deductible is $1,600 for each benefit period. Part B, most people pay the standard premium of $164.90 per month. The deductible for Part B is $233.
